Welcome to the privacy policy of Bersiv. This policy will help you understand what data we collect, why we collect it, and what your rights are in relation to it.
Bersiv collects the following types of Personal Data:
When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address as provided by those services. This is used solely to create and identify your account.
We collect data about how you interact with the app, including quiz progress, streak counts, mastered words, XP points, accuracy, and daily activity. This data is stored to provide your personalized learning experience.
We collect anonymous device identifiers and technical information (such as device type, operating system version, and app version) for analytics and crash reporting purposes via Firebase.
If you subscribe to Bersiv Pro, purchase and subscription status is managed by RevenueCat and Apple's App Store. We do not store your payment details directly.
If you use the invite feature, we store your referral code and track which accounts were referred, solely to credit bonus trial days to you and the person you invited.
If you grant notification permission, we store a device token to send you streak reminders and learning notifications. You can disable this at any time in your device settings.
The Owner takes appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, or unauthorized destruction of the Data.
The Data processing is carried out using computers and/or IT enabled tools, following organizational procedures and modes strictly related to the purposes indicated. In addition to the Owner, in some cases, the Data may be accessible to certain types of persons in charge, involved with the operation of this Application (administration, sales, marketing, legal, system administration) or external parties (such as third-party technical service providers, mail carriers, hosting providers, IT companies, communications agencies) appointed, if necessary, as Data Processors by the Owner. The updated list of these parties may be requested from the Owner at any time.
The Data is processed at the Owner's operating offices and in any other places where the parties involved in the processing are located. Depending on the User's location, data transfers may involve transferring the User's Data to a country other than their own.
Unless specified otherwise in this document, Personal Data shall be processed and stored for as long as required by the purpose they have been collected for and may be retained for longer due to applicable legal obligation or based on the Users' consent.
Bersiv uses the following third-party services which may process your data on our behalf:
Used for user authentication, data storage (Firestore), analytics, push notifications (FCM), and app hosting. Google may process data on servers located outside your country. Privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
Used to manage in-app subscriptions and purchases. RevenueCat processes purchase receipts and subscription status. Privacy policy: revenuecat.com/privacy
Used as an optional sign-in method. When you sign in with Apple, Apple shares your name and email (or a private relay email) with us. Privacy policy: apple.com/legal/privacy
Used to generate audio pronunciation for Kurdish words and sentences. When you tap the audio button, the Kurdish text is sent to the KurdishTTS API to generate speech audio. No personal data is included in these requests — only the Kurdish text to be spoken. Learn more at kurdishtts.com
You have the right to request the deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time.
To request account deletion, please contact us at with the subject line "Delete My Account". We will process your request and permanently delete your data within 30 days.
Please note that deleting your account will permanently remove your progress, streak history, mastered words, and all other data associated with your account. This action cannot be undone.
If you purchased a subscription, deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription. Please cancel your subscription through the App Store before or after requesting account deletion.
This Application is a mobile app and does not use browser cookies. However, third-party services such as Firebase and RevenueCat may use device identifiers and similar tracking technologies for analytics and service delivery purposes.
The Owner may process Personal Data relating to Users if one of the following applies:
Users may exercise certain rights regarding their Data processed by the Owner. In particular, Users have the right to do the following, to the extent permitted by law:
Any requests to exercise User rights can be directed to the Owner through the contact details provided in this document. Such requests are free of charge and will be answered by the Owner as early as possible and always within one month.
The User's Personal Data may be used for legal purposes by the Owner in Court or in the stages leading to possible legal action arising from improper use of this Application or the related Services.
For operation and maintenance purposes, this Application and any third-party services may collect files that record interaction with this Application (System logs) or use other Personal Data (such as the IP Address) for this purpose.
The Owner reserves the right to make changes to this privacy policy at any time by notifying its Users on this page and possibly within this Application. It is strongly recommended to check this page often, referring to the date of the last modification listed at the top.
Any information that directly, indirectly, or in connection with other information — including a personal identification number — allows for the identification or identifiability of a natural person.
Information collected automatically through this Application, which can include IP addresses, URI addresses, time of request, browser and OS features, and other parameters about the device operating system and/or the User's IT environment.
